The Ladder: What Types of Questions Will You Encounter?
Maybe the most commonly ask question we have received thus far has been, “What will the questions be like, and can’t we just google them?” Let’s dive into that a little further.
Since launch, the community has posed some really great questions surrounding The Ladder Game. The ones our team have come across most frequently have been associated with the question base. With The Ladder being an on-chain gameshow, something our space has never seen, being creative, yet simple with the questions presented has been a challenging process. All in all, The Ladder is not designed to be some extremely difficult and frustrating game that is meant to perplex you.
Simplicity is one of the core pilars of our game. We are not building a product that will take hours and hours of research and lore walkthrough to understand The Ladder’s primary components. (Not to say that reading and staying informed of the latest news and updates doesn’t help with strategy developments or ancllary feature knowledge.)
Some questions will be very straightforward and fairly easy with some light thinking. Some questions may be easy to understand but may carry some risk with them. The Ladder’s main goal is to reward participation. Active participation from existing players will bring more eyes to the game and ultimately more investors to Avalanche.
Initially the questions will fall into the following categories:
- Probability
- Puzzles
- General Trivia
- Guessing Games
More categories will surely be added to the list as the game grows. Lets look at each of this categories a little more closely:
Probability
Questions surrounding probability will be a staple to the game. The questions will contain a statement, question, or word problem that will need to be analyzed in order to select the optimal answer.
They can be very simple. For example: “I am about to roll a 6-sided dice. Will it land on a 5?” Selecting the “No” option would be the best choice in this instance and give you the best likelihood of climbing to the next step.
Others may be a bit more complicated. They will ask you to analyze a simple situation or event and deduce which option will work best.
Puzzles
We will not be including much detail about some of the puzzles you may see. Just be ready.
General Trivia
General trivia is exactly what it sounds like. The questions will not be difficult, but may require a bit of digging. The topics will range from current events, sports, history, entertainment, and so much more. But, but…what about ChatGPT?! Use whatever resource you want. The Ladder isn’t meant to be the next BAR exam or MCAT. We value participation above all else!
Guessing Games
Much like you have already seen on our Twitter, there will be some guessing games involved in your quest to reach the top. An image will be shown of a container holding a certain number of items. Your objective will be to determine if the number of items is higher or lower than the number we provide.
Lore
Some could argue there is no topic more important than history..
Questions surrounding Lore will be sprinkled in as the games get underway, so be sure to pay attention to the historical texts that are recovered! This info will be housed in our discord and presented on our Youtube channel.
